Extended Care Program
Christ the King is dedicated to serving the needs of our school families. Extended Care is provided for Kindergarten through Grade 8 before school (7:00 to 8:00 am) and after school (3:15 to 5:45 pm).
The program includes an after school snack, time for activities such as crafts, homework, study or reading, as well as supervised free play.
Extended Care also operates on days when school is dismissed for faculty in-service, Christmas vacation, etc. with the exception of the following days:
Labor Day New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
Thanksgiving Good Friday
Friday after Thanksgiving Memorial Day
Christmas Eve/Christmas Day 1 day of staff in-service TBA
Summer Care Program
Christ the King is proud to be the only Catholic school in South Kansas City to offer a summer care program. We provide an age appropriate, safe and secure environment for school-age children while their parents work.
Daily activities are planned as well as weekly field trips. Your child will enjoy:
A large and inviting age appropriate environment
Professional and trained staff (Background checks are run on all employees.)
USDA lunch and two snacks
A variety of materials and equipment including computers
Age appropriate activities in the following areas:
Arts and crafts
Music and drama
Wacky Banana Fun and Fitness
