Business Partners

Over 6 years ago Christ the King Parish decided it was important to the neighborhood for CTK to be a strong presence in the community. We became active members in the Waldo Area Business Association and joined forces with area businesses to make our community a better place to live and work.

Christ the King Parish has partnered with many area businesses over the last 6 years and it has been a truly beneficial experience for both the businesses and Christ the King Parish. The focus was to have these partnerships to support our school, and for most of the partners the school is still the focus. Now, we have expanded the program to include other areas of our Parish. The other areas are noted.

What can a Business Partner offer?*

  • Read to a class of Preschool through 2nd grade students, as frequently as you wish.
  • Direct a weekly after-school club for 10-12 students around your hobby or interest.
  • Coach a girl or boy’s volleyball or basketball team (3-month commitment).
  • Volunteer in school library maintaining circulation of books and assisting students.
  • Share your business’ resources or services with the school (paper, envelopes, office supplies, computers, printers, office furniture, gift certificates for your products or services).
  • Advertising opportunities in our directory, bulletin, and our Billboard Project.

Support Christ the King School through a monetary donation toward:

  • Cristina Furey Memorial Scholarship – covers registration fee for a school family each year.
  • Technology Plan – server, software, the wiring to network four computers and one printer in each classroom, public address system, parish-wide phone network
  • School Endowment Fund – a separate 501(c)3 not-for-profit trust that provides perpetual financial support for Christ the King School
  • Science Lab for the middle school as well as mobile science labs for Kindergarten-6th grade
  • School Renovation Projects – gymnasium, art room, early childhood center
  • Virtual Student Scholarship – $3,600 per school year (may be updated at any time)
  • Library Update – library automation system, books, encyclopedias, periodicals, on-line computers
