Mass Reader

Any registered and confirmed member of the parish, age 16 or older, is welcome to participate. The diocese provides training. Contact Mayra Campos or call the parish office if you’re interested.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist with distribution of the Eucharist on Sunday and other times when needed. Any registered and confirmed member of the parish, age 16 or older, is welcome to participate. the diocese provides training. Contact Mayra in the parish office if you would like to participate.

Altar Servers

Young Catholic men in the 4th grade and above are invited to serve at Mass as altar servers. This would include the 4:00 PM Mass on Saturday and the 8:00 AM and 9:30 AM Mass on Sunday. There is also an opportunity to serve the Latin Mass on Sunday at 11:30 AM. The parish provides training.  Call the parish office if interested.

Gift Bearers

Individuals and families are invited to participate at Mass by bringing the gifts of bread and wine to the altar. Contact Mayra Campos at the parish office if you’re interested.

Rosary Leader

The rosary is said prior to the 4:00 PM Mass on Saturday. Various parishioners lead this Marian devotion. Contact the parish office for more information.

Adult Choirs

Sunday (9:30 AM) – Our sanctuary choir sings for the 9:30 AM Mass on Sunday mornings with rehearsals once during the week. This choir sings a variety of repertoire ranging from Gregorian and English chant to modern polyphony. The choir sings from the weekend after Labor Day until the Feast of Corpus Christi and on Solemnities and Holy Days including the Sacred Triduum.

Sunday (11:30 AM) – Our Schola sings for the 11:30 AM Extraordinary Form Mass on Sundays with a weekly rehearsal. This group sings all the Gregorian chant Prospers and Ordinary each week with Latin polyphony for special feast days. The Schola sings from the weekend after Labor Day until the Feast of Corpus Christi and on Solemnities and Holy Days including the Sacred Triduum. Contact Katie Schmitz at kschmitz@ctkkcmo.org

Greeters

The greeters are stationed at various entrances and welcome people to our parish community. Couples, singles, and families are welcome to participate in this apostolate. Contact the parish office if you are interested.

Usher

The ushers assist with greeting parishioners, helping them find places to sit, taking up collection, distributing bulletins, and preparing the church after each Mass. Several ushers are needed at each Mass. Contact the parish office  if you are interested.

Sacristans

The Philomena Group has many areas of services, one is to maintain the sacristy of the church. They also will help train someone who is interested in becoming a sacristan. If you are interested, please contact Dee Giedinghagen at 816-315-8863 or by email deegee8910@gmail.com. This apostolate requires a few minutes before and after Mass to set up for the priest.

Communion to the Homebound

EMHC training is needed to participate in this apostolate. Any registered and confirmed adult member of the parish is welcome to participate. The diocese provides training. Contact Legion of Mary, Carolyn Stewart 816-941-7275
